Start your garden right this spring by filling it with locally produced organic seeds and seedlings, heirloom vegetables and rare varieties that grow beautifully in our temperate climate. The Organic Plant Sale will take place Saturday May 12th from 10am-2pm at the Compost Education Centre's demonstration site, located at 1216 North Park Street. Admission is free, with donations gratefully accepted.
We are seeking an energetic and motivated person to join our team as an Education Coordinator. This is a full-time permanent position based on a 32.5 hour work week. Start Date: June 19th, 2012

Permaculture is a whole-systems approach to designing sustainable human settlements that aims to work with nature, rather than against it. This two-day course will introduce you to the basic ethics, principles and practices of permaculture and give you the inspiration to take action in your own garden and neighbourhood. We will cover permaculture theory, do fun hands-on projects, eat delicious food, and go on a tour of permaculture projects around the city.
