Become a Compost Club Member


By becoming a member of the Compost Club you help support our school programs, demonstration site, Compost Educator Program, resource library and many other worthwhile projects.


There are many benefits to being a member of the Compost Club:


  • Receive 2 free workshops annually (4 for family memberships) and attend any additional workshops for $10.00 each.

        • Our monthly workshops cover a wide variety of topics of interest to gardeners and conservationists. This year's line-up can be found on our Events Page. Please note: 48 hours cancellation notice is required for all workshops. If you do not cancel within that time and do not show up for the workshop, it will be counted as one of your free membership workshops.


  • 10% discount on purchase at participating garden centers and nurseries:

      1. Big Barn Garden Centre
      2. Borden Mercantile
      3. Danica Nurseries
      4. Dig This (all locations)
      5. GardenWorks (all three locations)
      6. Little Elf Garden Centre
      7. Meadow Oak Nursery

  • 10% discount on purchases of merchandise sold at the Compost Education Centre

  • The Latest Dirt, our quarterly newsletter filled with news and current composting and conservation articles

  • Access to the GVCEC resource lending library

All Purchases made at the Soap Exchange by Compost Club members will have 10% of the purchase proceeds donated to the GVCEC


Annual membership fees

Individual: $25

Family: $40 *(new price includes 4 free annual workshops)

Senior/Student/Unwaged: $20


2-Year Membership Option

Individual 2-year: $45

Family 2-year: $75*(new price includes 8 free workshops)

Senior/Student/Unwaged 2-year: $35


Organization Membership

Organization: $100 (one card per organization)

Our organization membership includes:

  • Free annual Composting Basics presentation at your workplace for your staff.
  • 10% off all Compost Centre merchandise for your organization.
  • 10% off at the above listed garden centres.
